Welcome to the Hampshire County Junior Choir.

 

We welcome all children who love to sing and are in years 2-6. We fully believe that singing should be fun and we strive to make each rehearsal a friendly and fun place to learn for all who attend. 

​

Our repertoire covers traditional styles as well as some more modern songs, to give the children as wide a base to their initial singing journey as possible. This sets them in good stead to enjoy singing all styles as they progress. We encourage the older children to be mentors and offer guidance to the younger children, both in attitude and vocal support. There are opportunities for part singing, small group work and occasional solos.

We use sheet music, but don’t be put off – we help all members to understand and start to develop their music reading skills, in preparation for moving up to the training choir.

 

So to sum up – come and have a go, join us on a Friday at 4.45pm to have fun and sing!
