New members are always welcome to join Hampshire County Youth Choirs. If you or your child would like to come along to a rehearsal and see what it is all about, please use the contact form below or email hcyc@hms.hants.gov.uk and we can organise getting you along for a trial.

We accept new members at the beginning of each term (September, January and April). 

​

Once you have decided that you would like to join us, for all choirs except the junior choir, we ask that you prepare a song of your choice for us to hear so we can place you in the right choir and voice part. There is no audition process for entry to the Junior Choir and this group is open to all abilities, Year 2 - 6, encouraging singing together from an early age. 

​

Membership is £45 a term for a County level ensemble, payable online, and this includes all rehearsals and performances.If your child belongs to more than one ensemble (including outside of the choirs) you will only pay one fee.

 

We meet on Friday during term time at The United Reform Church, Winchester between 4.30pm and 9pm

We are divided into five choirs:

Hampshire County Junior Choir 

4.45pm to 6pm - School Years 2 - 6

​

Hampshire County Training Choir

7.30pm to 8.45pm - School Years 7 - 9

​

Hampshire County Show Choir

5.00pm to 7.00pm - School Years 7 - 13

​

Hampshire County Youth Choir

7.30pm to 9.00pm - School Years 10 - 13

​

Hampshire County Chamber Choir

9.00pm to 9.30pm - By audition from members of the Youth Choir
