Youth Choir - 5 Nov Workshop

Rehearsal and concert with London Oriana Choir, Saturday 5 November

As mentioned during the previous few rehearsals and in the most recent email from Kerry, Dominic Peckham (ex-HCYC member and renowned Choral Director and Ambassador) has invited us to join his London Oriana Choir for a concert at the United Church in Winchester (our regular rehearsal venue) on Saturday 5 November. The evening concert will be preceded by an afternoon workshop led by Dominic. Having worked with him before, I know that you will all gain so much from this time with Dominic, so we look forward to seeing you there. This is a really fantastic opportunity for members, and we would really appreciate good attendance to represent HCYC at its best.

The arrangements for the day are as follows:

12.45pm HCYC members arrive

1.00pm Warm up and Workshop with Dominic Peckham

3.00pm Break & London Oriana Choir arrive

3.15pm London Oriana Choir & HCYC rehearse joint items

(HCYC free to leave at this point, returning in time for the concert)

6.00pm Concert starts

7.30pm Concert finishes

There is no charge for the workshop or the concert. With this in mind, I hope that you will all be able to bring plenty of supporters to boost the audience numbers. Please allow plenty of time for travel to Winchester in the evening, due to the bonfire and fireworks celebrations taking place.

The dress code for this event is normal HCYC uniform. If your son/daughter needs uniform for this concert, would you please email Jo Trotter at peanutjt@btinternet.com stating member’s full name, the items and sizes required (girls - blouse and skirt size; boys - just shirt size, i.e. collar or chest size) and a contact telephone number as soon as possible.
