Spring Concerts Details

I hope that the half term has recharged all your batteries and that you are ready for the busy term ahead!

Last term was extremely successful with performances from Youth Choir at Beaulieu Abbey and Training Choir at Winchester Cathedral to name a few, so thank you for all your continued hard work and support. We are regularly sharing feedback and updates on our Facebook page, so take a look! All this information and more is always uploaded to our blog if you need to reference it at a later date.

Absence and apologies

If for any reason you can not make a rehearsal or a performance then please let us know asap and within a reasonable amount of time. Each choir is only as good as the commitment of it's members for rehearsals AND performances. There have been several instances of members not giving any notice at all which is not acceptable as this affects everybody involved.

Google Calendar

5 March - Junior/Youth - Carmina Burana Rehearsal - Thornden Hall, Chandlers Ford

Youth Choir Rehearse 10.30am - 4pm

Please arrive promptly for 10.30am

Please bring lunch with you as there will be a break from 12.30pm - 1.15pm

Junior Choir please arrive 1.45pm, who will then will be ready for collection at 3.15pm.

19 March - Junior/Youth - Carmina Burana Performance - The Anvil, Basingstoke

Youth Choir Arrive 10.15am and rehearse until 2.15pm

Performance at 4pm

Junior Choir Arrive 11.40am

All members must arrive IN CONCERT DRESS via the main entrance and make sure that they sign in and out of the building with a member of staff, even after the concert. We appreciate that this is a long time to be in your uniform so please bring something to wear over the top, and use the break to make sure that you are as smart and neat and tidy as possible.

Please bring lunch, bottled water and a snack with you. There will be time for you to have lunch and collect a choir folder. All members will need to be ready by 3.30pm.

Youth Choir members will be allowed to go out but only in groups of four and having signed out with a member of staff. Please make sure that you are back in good time. Junior Choir members will need to stay on site, and they will be supervised by Jessica and Tara.

25 March - Chamber Choir - Joint Concert with HCYO - St Thomas Church, Lymington

This is a joint concert with the Chamber Orchestra.

Please arrive at 5.45pm for rehearsal. Please allow plenty of time as parking is not readily available.

There will be limited time between the rehearsal and the performance so please make sure you have eaten before you arrive and have your uniform ready.

The concert will start at 7.30pm and tickets will be available on the door. Approximate finish around 9.30pm.

31 March - ALL CHOIRS - Jewry St, Winchester

Our annual Spring concert will be an informal free concert during our normal Friday rehearsal. It will be an opportunity to socialise with the other choirs and raise money towards a residential next year.

The concert will start at 7.30pm. Arrival times for each choir and further details will be sent nearer the time.

6 April - Show Choir - HMS Staff Concert - The Anvil, Basingstoke

The Music Service is producing a FREE family concert which the Show Choir are participating in. You may even see some staff you know! Show Choir members will be required for a rehearsal before the performance at 7pm.
