Re: Avon Tyrrell Residential for all Hampshire County Youth Choirs

Friday 23 to Sunday 25 February 2018

Thank you to those members who have completed the online form to indicate either way if you will be attending the Avon Tyrrell residential next February. Attached is a list of the members we expect to attend. If your situation has changed and you can no longer commit or if you have decided that you would like to join us, please do let us know asap by submitting another online form:

HCYC Avon Tyrrell Residential 23-25 Feb 2018 – response form

As previously mentioned, we are already aware of a clash with HCYO but have spoken to the Directors and arranged for any members wishing to come to be able to attend both.

For all other members and those who have recently joined the choirs – if you would like to attend but have not yet let us know, please complete the online form promptly via the link above, so we can ensure you are included in future correspondence about the trip.

It is a fantastic venue – Avon Tyrrell is near Bransgore in the New Forest and is owned by Youth Clubs UK Ltd. We strongly advise members to attend because it’s such a good opportunity to sing together and also take part in some team building and have fun. The ensembles will enjoy a mix of rehearsals and social time, and we will end the weekend with a concert for parents and friends on Sunday afternoon. The weekend is an ideal opportunity to learn new music and to ‘get to know’ each other, as there is not always enough time on Friday evenings to socialise. During the weekend there is also plenty of time to enjoy the many recreational facilities of the centre. Everyone will have a chance to take part in at least one organised activity during the course of the weekend – further details to follow.

These events would not happen without the support of HMS staff. I am grateful to all of them for offering their time and ensuring the residential will be a great success and a memorable experience for all. I would be very pleased to hear from one or two parents who would be willing to get involved and join us for the weekend as well – we always appreciate the additional support.

If you have confirmed attendance, please complete and return the attached Educational Visit and Consent Form.

In order for the venue to be secured, we will shortly be sending out a request for a deposit of £50 to be made by Friday 3 November. The remaining balance of £40 will be payable by Friday 9 February 2018. You will be able to make these payments online and instructions will be sent via an automated email. Our preferred method of payment is online, but if this presents any difficulties please get in touch.

If you wish to apply for financial assistance, please complete and return the attached form. This is a standard form used by all Hampshire Music Service ensembles and all information is treated with strictest confidence.

If you have any queries or questions, please get in touch.

Kind regards

Kerry
